St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata is a private university run by the Jesuits. It bears testimony to the 500-year-old legacy of Jesuit education. It was established on February 8, 2017 and was inaugurated by the Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Smt. Mamata Banerjee in the presence of Mr. L. N. Mittal and his wife Mrs. Usha Mittal. It has a sprawling campus expanding to 16.64 acres of land.
The University seeks to provide limitless opportunities to the students in different horizons. The University is equipped with modernized infrastructure to provide maximum facilities to students. It also seeks to formulate a plan to implement the National Education Policy and expand the infrastructure furthermore according to the ‘Plan 2025’.

- Objective: The event aims to provide a platform wherein the students pursuing Law will get a first-hand
- experience on how Mediation takes place, in the legal world.
- Date of the event:19th-21st April 2023
- Mode: Offline at Xavier Law School, St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata,
- Last date of registration:10th April 2023

- Registration fee: Each team, including the Mediator, Client & Counsel has to pay the Team Registration Fees of Rs.2,000/-. Payment procedure is mentioned in the event brochure given below.
- Eligibility Criteria: 1) Territory, Recognition & Course: Students pursuing any three-year or five-year integrated courses of the LL.B. degree from any Law School/College/University/Institution across the State of West Bengal, recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI) are eligible to participate. 2) Semester/ Year: Students from any Year/Semester can form/join a Team and register for participation. Cross-Semester Participation is allowed, i.e., a Team may consist of students from different semesters/years.

- Saturday, 25th March, 2023: Release of SXUK Hostel Notification (Registrations and Payment Window for SXUK Hostel Accommodation Facility Open)
- Saturday, 1st April, 2023: Release of All Mediation Problems
- Saturday, 8th April, 2023: Last Date for Clarifications on the Problems
- Friday, 10th April, 2023: Last Date for Team Registrations (11:59 PM)
- Saturday, 15th April, 2023: Last Date for Hostel Registrations/Payment
- Wednesday, 19th April, 2023: The Draw of Lots & Orientation of Teams
- Thursday, 20th April, 2023: XMC’23 Opening Ceremony, XMC’23 Day 1 (Prelims I & II)
- Friday, 21st April, 2023: XMC’23 Day 2 (Quarter-Final, Semi-Finals & The Final Round) & XMC’23 Closing Ceremony
