Greetings of the Day from S.L.S. – Noida
Symbiosis Law School, NOIDA, one of the premier law colleges in India, always strive to give wonderful opportunities to student community, not only from its own campus, but also beyond campus of the SLS-NOIDA. In the past, the SLS-NOIDA has successfully organized International/National Conferences/Seminars/Workshops at its campus wherein dignitaries, like, Supreme Court Judges, High Court Judges, Ambassadors of other countries, Senior Advocates of the Supreme Court of India, well renowned academicians, and researchers from all over India have graced the events.
In continuation of its mission of giving the best learning opportunities to the student community, as well with the purpose of fulfilling its statutory duty bestowed by the Bar Council of India Rules & the National Legal Services Authority Act, the Legal Aid Center was established at the SLS-NOIDA. The Legal Aid Center, SLS-NOIDA has always been pro-active in its duties towards the society.
A Para Legal Volunteer is expected to take care of lot of things when he interacts with any person in the society with objective of dealing with certain socio-legal issue. Now-a-days, he is expected to take carry some expertise in his interactions as the society is getting very sensitive & reactionary with certain socio-legal issues. In view of this, he is required to be guided by some experienced persons who have been working with legal-aid authorities.
In view of above, we have organized a ‘Workshop for Para-legal Volunteers of Legal Aid Centers’ of various law colleges in Delhi-NCR on Saturday of Jan. 9th, 2016 at Symbiosis Law School, Noida. Hon’ble Mr. Rajesh Kumar Goel, Director – NALSA & Addll. Distt. & Sessions Judge, Delhi will be the Chief Resource Person. Schedule of the ‘workshop’ is attached for your kind perusal.
We look forward to participation of members of Legal Aid Center/Clinic at your college. The participating student need to get himself/herself registered by writing a mail at lac@symlaw.edu.in; there is no registration fees.
