Career Point University, Hamirpur is organising a One Day National Workshop on IPR for Academicians on 14th March 2020.
The Intellectual Property Rights are developed by extensive use of intellect and are protected not only by ethics but also by law. They provide name, fame and commercial benefit to the creator. The creativity of the human mind is boundless. But many times it is not protected. This happens generally due to ignorance of the creator. At times even the person using someone else’s intellectual property does not know that he has, in fact, infringed someone’s rights.
In India, laws have been enacted to protect some of the key intellectual properties like inventions, trademarks, artistic and literary works. However, we still lack legislation to regulate areas like traditional knowledge. The IPR Policy was revised in 2016.
Out of the many types of intellectual property, researchers across all disciplines primarily deal with patents, copyrights and trademarks. With a view to creating awareness among different stakeholders, Career Point University is organizing a workshop on IPRs.
The workshop is aimed to create awareness about various components of IPR among the Faculty Members, Supervisors, Co-Supervisors, Researcher Scholars and Students. The key areas of the workshop are:
Students: Rs. 500/-
Research Scholars: Rs. 850/-
Professionals: Rs. 1000/-
The fee can be deposited online in the bank as per the following details:
