About the Institution
NUSRL, Ranchi, the 14th National Law University of India has been established by an Act of the Jharkhand State Legislature, prompted by the vision of the constitutional forefathers that the law, legal system and legal institutions have an overreaching role of human, social, political and economic development of the Nation.
The Centre for Legal Aid Programme is an integral centre of learning at the National University of Study and Research in Law. The Centre is known to have been championing the contemporary and globally relevant domain of legal aid and awareness.
About the Event
The Centre for Legal Aid Programme, National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi takes immense pleasure to inform you that on the occasion of World Mental Health Day, the Centre is organizing a one-day National webinar on Mental Health and its interface with Socio-Economic and Legal Arenas.
The event is expected to host participants from around the country to discuss the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017. The webinar is an endeavour to assess the actual stance and challenges faced by different stakeholders in the existing mental healthcare regime, such as counsellors, social activists, legal professionals, clinical psychologists, academicians and so on.
The event observed participation from different universities across India and eleven quality research papers were selected for publication after due review and evaluation. In order to enhance the diversity in the webinar, various experts in the domain of Mental Health Law have been invited to present their valuable inputs for the furtherance of research in this domain.
