The Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) was established in 1999 by a group of Professors from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. Their goal is to improve governance and strengthen democracy by continuous work in the area of Electoral and Political Reforms.

Vidhi Mitra, The Legal Aid Cell of Dharmashastra National Law University, Jabalpur, in coordination with Association for Democratic Reforms is planning to organise a webinar on the topic: ‘Social Media and its Impact on the Democracy.’

The abovementioned topic has been handpicked for its proliferating relevance in the contemporary State of Affairs.

We live in a generation where information is just a touch away. We are swayed by information all around us. People want to know, read, understand and then speak their minds on almost anything and everything. That is when social media started gaining popularity.

Social media has become one of the most significant realities of today! But what kind of impact does Social Media has on the Democracy?

The webinar will discuss the contemporary state of affairs with specific reference to Social Media’s notable impact on our Democratic values.
