About the Organisation and Moot

Banasthali Vidyapith is a women’s university in the Tonk district of the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is a deemed university offering programs at the school, undergraduate, and postgraduate degree levels. The university is fully residential.

Law Faculty of Banasthali University in collaboration with Dr Gopal Energy Foundation under the guidance of Mr. Raj Singh Niranjan, Energy Law Expert & Legal Advisor, International Solar Alliance is organizing TILA International Moot Court Competition on Energy & International Laws (TIMCCE-II), Exclusively for Lady Law Students on 12th & 13th October, 2019 at Banasthali University Jaipur, Rajasthan INDIA. Trans India Law Associates is the Knowledge partner of TIMCCE-II.

TIMCEE II Moot Proposition i.e. Republic of Kasana Vs Union of IKKAR is an interplay between International Law and Energy Law. Major International transactions between countries for investment in the energy sector are discussed and view of International Courts and International Commercial Arbitration in such scenario will be interesting to research on.
The TIMCEE Championship teams will get the opportunity to present their arguments on bilateral & multilateral investment treaties to support their case.

Eligibility

Lady Law Student’s duly enrolled and pursuing 3 years or 5-year undergraduate law course from any university recognized by the respective Govt. may apply to participate in the competition.

Team Formation

A team may consist of a minimum of two and maximum of five (5) members. Each institution seeking to participate can only send one team to represent that institution.

Registration

Student’s pursuing undergraduate law degree (3 year/5 year programme) from institutions all over the world are welcome to submit their registrations here.

Each Team must register with the DGEF Secretariat by completing a registration form online and paying the appropriate registration fee by the deadline in the Official Schedule.

Each Team must provide a valid email address at registration. Notice sent to the registered email address constitutes notice to all Team Members.

In alternative duly filled registration forms should reach Administrator of TIMCCE through email at administrator@dgef.in with the subject title ‘Final Registration’.
