The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR), Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab in collaboration with Sama is all set to organise the SEVEN-DAY CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP ON ONLINE DISPUTE RESOLUTION from 22nd-28th September, 2024 in a virtual set-up.
ABOUT RGNUL
Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in the State of Punjab with the key objective to evolve and impart comprehensive legal education including distant and continuing legal education at all levels to achieve excellence.
ABOUT THE CENTRE
The Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR) was established in RGNUL in 2018. From the beginning to its 6th year of operation, CADR has always aimed to promote students’ and researchers’ interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. The ultimate objective of the Centre is to strengthen the ADR process in the country by emerging as a platform for students to further their interests in the field. A strong team of teachers and students is working towards achieving this end.

Their goal is to give you a safe, quick, cost- effective, and humane approach to resolve your dispute to your satisfaction with real practical solutions without the expense or hassle of courts and spending a lot of time..
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The Seven-Day Capacity Building Workshop on Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) is an intensive program designed to equip participants with the critical skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of dispute resolution. With the integration of technology into the justice delivery system, especially accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, Online Dispute Resolution has become an essential tool for ensuring access to justice. This workshop aims to provide a thorough understanding of ODR, covering its processes, the technology involved, legal frameworks, and the practicalities of applying these in real-world scenarios. The course will be divided into 8 modules:

- Effective Communication and Facilitation in ODR
- Technology in ODR: Tools, Platforms, and Innovations
- Legal Framework and Regulatory Considerations in ODR

- Future of ODR: Trends, Challenges, and Innovations
- NOTE: Each module is carefully structured to enhance your competence in ODR and broaden your career prospects in the ever-expanding field of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).
