Who Is The Organiser?

Accords International (AcIn) is the world’s premiere organization working in the area of conflict resolution. We are passionate about discovering innovative techniques in mediation and restorative justice for widening their scope as a mechanism of conflict resolution. AcIn empowers and supports people in confronting misunderstandings and conflicts at their home, workplace, and community in general. Our larger aim is to create a wider network of conflict resolution professionals, mediators, and restorative justice facilitators to provide better solutions for solving disputes without going to court.

Restorative Justice is a transformative approach that holds immense potential in the realm of juvenile justice. The Restorative Justice Week 2023 on the theme ‘Restorative Practices for Young Adults’ seeks to explore the multifaceted aspects of employing restorative practices to address the unique challenges faced by young individuals within the justice system. The event spans four days, delving into theoretical foundations, practical applications, psychological insights, and rethinking preventive strategies.

The idea of Restorative Justice Week is inspired by the brilliant efforts of the European Forum of Restorative Justice (EFRJ). It is Accords International’s pride to share that for RJ Week 2023, it has collaborated with not just EFRJ, but also other esteemed organizations like DC Peace Team, USA; Counsel to Secure Justice, India; and Building a New Reality, USA.
