What Is ISIL?
The Indian Society of International Law (ISIL), New Delhi a premier national institution for the promotion of international law, teaching and research was established in 1959, primarily due to the efforts of V. K. Krishna Menon and was inaugurated in the same year by the then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The objectives of the ISIL are to foster nation-wide, the study and development of international law, to interpret through its forums and publications, the application of international law as chiefly affecting India, to encourage the comparative study of the application of international law in other states, and to promote research in international law. ISIL is inviting interested participants to attend the Public Lecture on “Investor- State Dispute Settlement Mechanism and Its Legitimacy Crises” on13th April 2023.
