About the organizer: The Commercial and Financial Law Reporter (CFLR) is a student-run and a professionals-supported platform that seeks to delve into academic research to legitimately contribute to the practice and jurisprudence around commercial laws. Our-long term vision is to establish ourselves as law and public policy lab in commercial and financial laws. Overall, we envision a bridge between academic discourse and social implementation.

About the webinar: As a part of our constant endeavour to embolden the ideas of innovation and synergy, we invite you to attend one of a kind academic debate series called “Project Discourse”.
Project Discourse is a quarterly debate series on topics like arbitration laws, corporate governance, securities law, taxation, insolvency law, competition law etc. The series aims to invigorate the wide public discussion through disputation and deliberations. The debates are designed to encourage visitors/participants to seek out further information about the issues, engage in a face-to-face discussion.

About the topic: Keeping in mind the current scenario, the motion for the first debate in this series is: “This house believes that remote hearings can replace physical hearings in arbitration”.
The speakers are Mr. Vyapak Desai (Partner, Nishith Desai Associates) and Mr. Ajar Rab (Partner, Rab & Rab Associates), and the session will be moderated by Mr. Rohan Batra (Partner, R&R Law Chambers).

Who can attend: The webinar is open for all and will be held over Zoom.
