Department of Public Policy, Law and Governance, CuRaj invites applications for the Post Graduate Degree Programme in Public Policy, Law and Governance.
The MA programme seeks to introduce students to the study of policy-making and implementation processes to create improved understanding of events happening in society. It will help students in sharpening their powers of analysis and judgment.
The programme will contribute to acquisition of analytical skills that can help in informing policy choices. For this reason democratic context of policy choices will be explored foregrounding the issues of liberty and justice.
In addition, the MA programme should equip the students with skills to evaluate and assess programmes and projects.
The core courses will have three streams:
a. introduction to concepts and theories of substantive aspects,
b. integrative understanding of policy-making in the framework of law and institutions of governance and democracy, and
c. introduction to evaluation methods and democratic accountability mechanisms.
Who can apply
Students and professionals who are interested in studying public policy and have a bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Administration, Political Science and other social science fields.
Course Structure
Two-year programme spread over Four Semesters.
