Being associated with this forum as a campus senator provides a bucket load of opportunity to a law student. Choosing the field of law essentially means working in public interest. As was rightly said by Ronald Regan
“we can’t help everyone but everyone can help someone”
And hence the position of campus senator provides me the ability to make a small difference. Further the position enables me to interact with a wider audience of similar interest. As a budding lawyer having connections and to be a part of network of intelligent community is important. Therefore, it helps me build appropriate public relations.
Being a campus senator also means devoting time to activities other than academics. This platform helps me to develop writing skills, communication skills , marketing and most importantly leadership skills. I have also learnt to plan things in advance and then execute it which helped me gain organizing skills.
On a larger scale as a campus senator I also get the opportunity to use this platform as a Launchpad for my college.
Finally, who doesn’t want a good CV? Being campus senator ultimately help in future placements!!And it is fun to work as “CAMPUS SENTAOR”.
