  • The Contemporary Law Forum is a student-run, professionally supported blog established with the primary objective of promoting and publishing quality legal research on contemporary issues of law.
  • The Contemporary Law Forum (“TCLF”) is seeking to engage law students as Social Media/Outreach Managers and Content Editors and is making a call for applications for the same.

The Contemporary Law Forum (TCLF) is seeking to engage 4 law students as a part of their design and outreach team for the following roles:

  • Content Designer
  • Tech Manager
  • Newsletter Editor
  • Social Media Administrator

All of whom will be termed as ‘Content Editors’ at The Contemporary Law Forum. 

Role of a Content Editor

A Content editor would be expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • Assist blog’s outreach team by working on social media handles to increase traction.
  • Assist the design team with formatting and compilation of monthly newsletters, frequent posts, and general design elements.
  • Handle Technical aspects of the Blog’s website.
  • Work on the TCLF Monthly Newsletter, which covers major legal developments of a particular week alongside brief editorial insights on two important legal issues.

Eligibility

The applicant must be enrolled in an Integrated (5-year course) or (3-year course) of any established university in India with some form of prior experience in the above-mentioned areas. The profile should also reflect a strong interest in legal research and writing.

Preference will be given to candidates who have basic knowledge of web handling and/or designing/formatting of newsletters, posters and digital art of any kind.

Note: The applicant must work exclusively for TCLF and any form of parallel association with any other privately run blog is not allowed. This condition does not apply to blogs that are run by universities/institutions.

    • 1 work sample; this can include and is not restricted to Digital Art for Poster Designers, Published Articles for Researchers, and Technical Credentials for Website Handlers.
  • The subject line should read “Application-Content Editor Position”. 
  • The cover e-mail must give a brief profile of the applicant and highlight her/his interest areas.

Selection Process

TCLF follows a two-stage selection process:

  • First Stage: CV/Application Review
  • Second Stage: Telephonic Interview

Rewards

There is no remuneration involved. TCLF is a purely academic initiative, with no profit motive.

Tenure of Engagement

The applicant would join the team for a period of 3 months, subject to an extension based on performance. The decision regarding extension would be taken by the Managing Editors in consultation with the Board of Advisors.
