The Course

The Course is about ‘US Legal System’. There will be discussions on the limits of executive, judicial and legislative powers under the USA Constitution focusing on several landmark USA Supreme Court cases.

There will be three lectures, each for a duration of two hours.

The Speaker

  • Prof. Stephen G. Barnes, Assistant Dean of Graduate and International Programs, Penn State Law, Pennsylvania University, USA oversees LL.M. and S.J.D. admissions. Before his appointment, Steve lived for 8 years in China where he was a visiting law professor at the  China University of Political Science and Law in Beijing and also served as Penn State Law China Programs Director.
  • Steve is proficient in French, Chinese, and Swedish, and is energized by the cultural diversity that talented international students bring to Penn State Law. Education: J.D., University of Oregon; M.B.A., The George Washington University; B.A., Brigham Young University
