Kamkus College of Law, Ghaziabad, in collaboration with Mahatma Hansraj Faculty Development Centre (A Centre of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under PMMMNMTT Scheme), Hansraj College, University of Delhi is organizing a One-Week Online Faculty Development Program on “Modern Teaching Techniques in Social Sciences”. The program will focus on the modern teaching techniques in Law.
About the FDP
The Faculty Development Programme (“FDP”) envisages to provide training to faculties engaged with a modern education system that is aligned with the goals of the 21st century. The programme focusses on modern teaching techniques in social sciences. It focuses on different aspects of pedagogy, including but not limited to the mode of instruction. Traditionally, social sciences are believed to be purely theoretical subjects with little or no practical application. However, it would be remiss to not recognize and give due importance to the fact that in a dynamic and a constantly evolving society, social sciences have become increasingly important and have as much practical application as any other field of study.
With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, schools, colleges and other educational institutions were forced to close down without any surety as to when things would return to normal and they would reopen. The education system, in countries across the world, was stretched to its capacity and tested in unprecedented ways since physical classroom teaching was no more possible due to the pandemic. Online teaching using various video conferencing platforms became the norm for a long time. On one hand, it made us realize the importance of physical classroom teaching and the fact that it might be irreplaceable; on the other hand, it also taught us how technology can improve the quality of teaching at all levels of education. The FDP shall focus on how use of modern technology can enhance the quality of teaching by incorporating it judiciously in day-to-day teaching practices.
Eligibility
The programme is interdisciplinary and is open to all interested participants. All faculty members (Permanent/ Temporary/ Adhoc/ Guest) and Research Scholars from any university/college are eligible to participate.
