What Is Kristu Jayanti College of Law (KJCL)?

Kristu Jayanti College of Law (KJCL) in Bengaluru is affiliated with the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU). Established in 2017, KJCL offers three courses: B.A., LL.B., B.B.A., LL.B., and B.Com., LL.B. About The Competition

Kristu Jayanti College of Law is organizing its flagship Kristu Jayanti National Moot Court Competition (KJNMCC) from 25th July 2024 to 27th July 2024. The proposition of the moot court competition has been designed to assess the students’ analytical skills in the emerging field of Environmental Law. The competition aims to develop legal research, practical application of laws, and oratory skills.

What Are The Details Of The Competition?

  • Eligibility Criteria: Students enrolled in a full-time 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB program at any university, college, or institution approved by the Bar Council of India are eligible to register for this competition.
  • Team Composition: The maximum number of participants per team is restricted to 3 (2 Orators and 1 Researcher). A team may also consist of only 2 Orators, with one taking part in the researcher’s test. Each team will be allotted a team code, sent through mail after registration. Teams must not disclose their identity or their institution’s identity during the competition, as this will lead to penalties, including disqualification.
  • Prizes:
  • Winner: Cash Prize of Rs. 30,000/- with trophy and certificate.
  • 1st Runner Up: Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000/- with trophy and certificate.
  • Best Speaker: Cash Prize of Rs. 10,000/- with trophy and certificate.
  • Best Researcher: Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- with trophy and certificate.
  • Best Memorial: Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/- with trophy and certificate.
  • Certificate of Participation will be provided to all participants.
  • Registration Selection: The first 32 teams selected on a first-come, first-served basis will receive a confirmation email along with payment details.
  • Registration Fees: INR 4000 (Rupees Four Thousand Only).
  • Venue: Christ Academy Institute of Law, Bengaluru.

  • Last Date for Provisional Registration: June 15, 2024.
  • Last Date for Final Registration by Payment of Registration Fee: June 20, 2024.
  • Last Date for Clarification Regarding Moot Problem: June 27, 2024.
  • Release of Clarification Regarding Moot Problem: July 1, 2024.
  • Submission of Written Memorial: July 12, 2024.
  • Inauguration Ceremony, Draw of lots, and Researcher’s test: 25th July, 2024.
  • Preliminary Rounds 1 & 2 and Quarter Final Rounds: 26th July, 2024.
  • Semi-Final Rounds, Finals, and Valedictory: 27th July, 2024.
