GALTER is a unique dedicated Research Oriented Educational Academy with focus on interface of emerging highly disruptive technologies, such as Blockchain, Cryptocurrencies, Digital Assets , Fintech, IoT, Artificial Intelligence and metaverse and promoting their proper and effective ethico-legal framework. The GALTER is an experienced pool of experts from Education, Law, Science & Technology, Management as well as other related fields.

The Global Academy of Law-Tech Education & Research presents National Essay Competition to give a platform to budding lawyers to express their views on integral legal issues. With an endeavor to encourage the enthusiasm of the young students of the law-tech fraternity to come up with new ideas and suggestions the broad theme of the competition is reserved as: “Role of Generative AI (ChatGPT) in Education Sector: Bane or Boon”.

What Are The Details Of The Competition?

  • Theme: Role of Generative AI (ChatGPT) in Education Sector: Bane or Boon
  • Objective: To encourage students across various colleges in India, to develop analytical thinking on pertinent topic in this domain.
  • Eligibility: Students pursuing graduation or master degree in the following field: law, technology, science, finance, and management are eligible to participate.
  • Co-authorship: Maximum of two authors is permitted. Only one submission shall be allowed per author, and in case of co-authors, one submission shall be deemed to include both. Separate submissions of both shall be taken as multiple submissions which will be subject to rejection and disqualification
  • Last Date for Essay Submission:1st June 2023
  • Declaration of Results: 30th June, 2023 (Tentative)

  • Registration fee: A five-digit Unique code shall be mailed to the participants whose registration has been completed.
    • Early Bird Registration: Rs. 250 (till 14th May)
    • Normal Registration: Rs. 300 (15th May30th June)

  • Submission Process:
    • The registered participants are directed not to mention any of their personal details while submitting their Essay except the unique code allotted. Furnishing any such detail shall lead to disqualification.
    • The subject of the email and name of the file must be “Essay Submission_Unique Code”. Each submission shall be accompanied by a Cover-letter which shall include the details of the participants as to:
    • ▪ Title of the Essay
    • ▪ Name(s) of the Author(s)
    • ▪ E-mail address and contact details of the Author(s)
    • ▪ Name of the college/institution/university of Author(s)
    • ▪ Program and Year of the Course of Author(S)
    • Failure of adherence to the above format of abstract submission may result in disqualification.

What Are The Submission Guidelines & Awards/Opportunities?

Submission Guidelines:

  • The essays shall be in English.
  • The name(s) of the author(s) must not be disclosed or mentioned anywhere in the essay.
  • The word limit for the essay is 1500-2500 words which is exclusive of footnotes or any other references.
  • The mandatory formatting specifications for the essay are:
    • 1-inch margin on all sides;
    • Times New Roman with 12 font size & 1.5-line spacing.
    • For footnotes, the mandatory formatting specifications shall be: Times New Roman typeface with 10 font size; and Single (1) line spacing.
  • References and precedents must be cited throughout the essay using theBluebook20th edition citation Method.
  • The essay should be the original work of the authors & must not have been published elsewhere.
  • The submissions must be in both Word (.doc/.docx) and PDF (.pdf) formats

Awards/Opportunities:

  • The author with the highest score will be declared as the “Winner” and shall be awarded a Certificate of Merit + Cash Prize of Rs. 5,000/-
  • The second and third runner up will be awarded Certificate of Appreciation +Cash Prize of Rs. 3,000/- & Certificate of Appreciation + Cash Prize of Rs. 2,000/- respectively
  • A consolation Prize shall be provided which shall include a book in the field of Law-Tech.
  • Participation Certificate shall be awarded, via email, to all the participants upon the successful submission of Essay.
  • The Top 5 winners of the competition may be provided an internship opportunity at Centre for Cyber Laws, NLU Delhi by Dr. Aparajita Bhatt
