About the Blog
CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa Campus, School of Law, in collaboration with the Legal Aid Committee 2023-2024 and the Student Bar Association, presents the National Online Blog Writing Competition on Awareness of Consumer Rights. This competition is being held in commemoration of ‘NATIONAL CONSUMER RIGHTS DAY,’ celebrated annually on 15th March.
What Are The Details Of The Competition?
- Eligibility: The National Blog Writing Competition is open to all Students and Academicians of any University or any department across the country.
- Theme: From international perspectives to consumer rights in the digital age, there’s a topic for every interest-
- Legal Rights and Protections: Supporting consumers in understanding their legal rights and accessing avenues for justice in case of disputes or grievances.
- Empowering Tomorrow’s Legal Minds: Advancing Consumer Justice Through Advocacy and Awareness.
- Digital Privacy and Security: Safeguarding Consumer rights in the age of Data Collection.
- Misleading advertisements: the scope of caveat emptor vs. the extent of consumer knowledge?
- The complexity of consumer rights in the era of e-commerce.
- Advocating for Consumer Justice Through Legal Aid.
- Note: The above sub-themes are not exhaustive. Participants can also choose the sub-theme but should be relevant to the prescribed area
- Submission Guidelines
- Team Composition- Individual Member
- The Blog shall be drafted in English language only
- The Blog must be submitted in Doc’s format.
- The Blog shall not exceed 800-1000 words excluding footnotes. Exceeding the limit can lead to negative markings.
- In the Blog Writing competition,10% plagiarism is allowed for the participants.
- The Drafts must adhere to the following submission format:
- Font should be Times New Roman
- Font Size should be 12 points
- The text should be Justified with 1.5 line spacing
- The borders should be 1” inch 8.
- Participants must submit their writings via the Google form given at the end.
- The decision of the organizers in deciding the winner(s) shall be final and binding and no query, correspondence, etc. in this regard shall be entertained by the organizers.
- Prizes:
- First Prize: Rs. 6000
- Second Prize: Rs. 3000
- Third Prize: Rs. 2000
- Best Blog will be published in the SLCU Blog, Legal Labyrinth
- E-certificates will be provided to the participants.
- Important Dates
- Last Date for Registration and Payment: 10th April, 2024
- Deadline for Submission: 10th April, 2024
- Results Declarations: 18th April, 2024

- Participants shall register themselves for the Competition by registering via the Google form given at the end.
- Participants must submit a screenshot of the payment while registering.
