Opportunities for Law Graduates and Students:- Legal Fellowship Program 2022 by National Centre for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ): Applications on a Rolling Basis.

Posted by

The National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ) is a national non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing the cause of economic justice for low-income families, individuals, and communities across the country. It was previously known as the Welfare Law Center (WLC) from 1997 to 2006 and the Center for Social Welfare Policy and Law (CSWPL) from 1965 to 1997.

Income security, access to employment, fair treatment, public accountability, access to justice, fair and safe workplaces, community action, and civic involvement are among the issues that NCLEJ campaigns for.

The NCLEJ was established in 1965. NCLEJ has worked with low-income families, individuals, communities, and a diverse spectrum of organisations to promote the cause of economic justice through litigation, legislative advocacy, and grassroots organising since its inception.

Child care/work supports, civil rights/racial justice, disability rights, fair administration/modernization, health care/health reform, low-wage workers, satisfying basic needs, and SNAP are among the primary problems addressed by the NCLEJ (food stamps).

The National Center for Law and Economic Justice (NCLEJ) is looking for motivated rising third-year law students and recent law graduates with a track record of social justice commitment and excellent writing, legal research, and communication skills to sponsor for Legal Fellowships beginning in the Fall of 2022, including Skadden, Equal Justice Works, Justice Catalyst, and any other relevant fellowships.

NCLEJ uses groundbreaking impact litigation, policy lobbying, and grassroots organising to advance the cause of economic and racial justice for low-income families, individuals, and communities across the country. NCLEJ aims to eliminate systemic discrimination against people of colour, women, sexual and gender minorities, immigrants, and people with disabilities, as well as to create systems that guarantee economic stability and opportunity for all.

Their current campaign is centered on

conserving and increasing government benefits; safeguarding and improving worker rights; combating illegal and abusive debt collection; and campaigning for persons with disabilities
