ABOUT:
Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access to legal education or IDIA, the non–profit organization which focuses on increasing diversity in the legal education by empowering the underprivileged, is organizing an IDIA Model United Nation in collaboration with National Law University Odisha [NLUO] with the aim of increasing diversity and promoting awareness through the medium of MUN. The event will take place on the NLUO campus from 26th to 28th February, 2016.
The agendas for the MUN have been set keeping the theme in mind. Apart from a diverse discussion on the subject, this MUN will also be conducting a special session focused on the theme “Diversity: The Inclusive Planet and Symbiosis” and its various facets.
This IDIA Model United Nation is being organized to provide the IDIA scholars all across India a chance to experience an MUN at their doorstep. There are 48 IDIA scholars all over India and to encourage participation, their registration fee has been waived off.
There are a total of 160 Countries and 32 Ministries [IPSCMK]. There are also seats for members of International Press, i.e., Journalists, Editors, Reports and Photographers.

United Nations Security Council [UNSC] – The Rise of State sponsored Terrorism and its potential threat to International Peace and Security in the 21st century.
United Nations General Assembly Social Cultural and Humanitarian Committee [UNGA SOCHUM] – Reviewing the impact of Humanitarian Interventions.
United Nations Human Rights Council [UNHRC] – Rights of Journalists and human rights violations by Cyber Crimes.
Indo – Pak Special Cabinet Meet on Kashmir [IPSCMK]
BENEFITS:
There is no Registration fee for IDIA Scholars. So, if anyone teams up with an IDIA Scholar as a Double Delegate, their registration fee (along with food and accommodation fee) will be waived off.
We are providing Fee concession to students of National Law University Odisha [NLUO]. So if anyone teams up with a student from National Law University Odisha [NLUO], they can avail the fee concession benefits.
