About Infrastructure of Your College:
We have a good spacious Library and class rooms are well equipped with slide presentation equipments. As well as we have a decent Moot Court Hall.
Faculty and Academics:
College of Legal Studies usually starts from 8:30 till 3 max. and classes are for an hour. Faculties of our college are good specially of Law College. Method of study is ppt based and refering to books as well as faculty also provides material sometimes. Evaluation is done from a pointer out of 4 semester and yearly wise and rest is the effort of the student studying.
Fees and Administration:
Administration is ok i would say, Strictness is there regarding your uniform which you have to wear throughout the week. College fee varies every year for new comers but approximately it would amount to around 2 lac a year. (Max.)
Student Activities:
As a Law student one must know that all extra activities count as it provides verstality to oneself. Events of all category takes place in the college in which one can take part. There are clubs and societies. Certificate courses are not provided by University till now so one can always enroll themselves in courses provided by other universities.
Surrounding Area of the Law school:
As its Dehradun the surrounding of the College is Hills and specially our college is in the valley so the surrounding is good.
Internship:
Internships are provided by the College after 3rd year before that one has to work themselves to get one. Alumni are at well established positions as some are in amarchand and mangal das also. They often come and have a gathering with the students too. But i would like to say all is upto you how hard to work to get yourself to such positions and no one else can do anything. (Hard Truth)
Placements:
Placements are decent. The University does have a decent record of placement but its very practical to understand that caliber of each student varies and companies take only them who they seem worthy enough. Sometimes they might take you and sometimes they may not take anyone. So its you who is responsible for you placement, rest college does its part to bring companies.
What are the best things about your law school?:
Environment, friendly atmosphere and some may agree and some might nor but the canteen is decent enough.
What are the worst things about your law school?:
Regular ongoing construction which is a part n parcel of college.
Other things?:
Law is a competitive area of study where one is seriously on its own. So till you seriously decide to go on this path alone to face the hardship don’t go Because here there will be no one else to blame except you. Its you who has to study, nurture oneself, get yourself to good opportunities by applying and facing them be it Court or an internship. All the Best.
