COLLEGE: BHARATI VIDYAPEETH DEMED UNIVERSITY,

  NEW LAW COLLEGE, PUNE

My journey in legal field started form 2ndJuly 2013. On that day I got admitted in one of the best law school in India. My journey in the law college is not only memorable but also is full of liveliness.

“First impression is last impression”

My first day in college was interesting for me. Our principal Dr. Mukund Sarda gave an inspirational speech which was unforgettable. He familiarized us with the need, scope and importance of law in 21st century.

“LAW IS THE KING OF KING

This quote is appropriately suited the speech which I heard on my first day in law college and hence it had been the tag line since its establishment.

Next day I was introduced to teachers and got to know that they not only friendly but also academically efficient professors. The Constitution of India was one of the basics subject taught to us and other subjects followed were Sociology, Economics, Political Science, and English. After few classes we came to know about the patterns of internals which were very hectic.

There were various debt competitions, PowerPoint presentations, Research papers were given to us. Training of moot courts were conducted under the guidance of senior advocate of Supreme Court Dr. Dev Choppra. After half of semester an intra-moot court competition was conducted which was compulsory for every students. On 7th of September 2013 I was interacted with one of the best senior lawyer Mr. Ramjeth Malini. Number of seminars was conducted in our college. I participated in all those activities and learn a lot from them as well as enjoy the same.

Second year:

In second year I learnt a lot in legal field. I introduced myself with contract law and family law. Both are very important and interesting for us as a law student. The professor of our family law and contact law were awesome. They taught us nicely.

Third year:

Jurisprudence, Professional ethics and Merger & Acquisition were core subjects in our 3rd year and specifically Professional Ethics was one of the important one as it prescribes standers and rule which was essential to learnt by every law student. In this year we learnt  one of the most important subject i.e. Indian Penal Code. According to my point of view IPC is engine of legal train.

On 1/04/2015 national seminar on media and law was conducted which was compulsory for every student. Hon’ble Justice A. M Thispay judge of Bombay High Court was chief guest of that seminar.

Present year:

On starting of 7th semester Company Law and Environment Law were important subjects. Both are very important in modern era. Various seminars were conducted in our college regarding Environment Law. We were visit National Green Tribunals, Pune.

Presently I am in 8th semester on the verse of completion of my law school journey. Lastly I want to conclude that this is not only an emerging profession but as compare to others this is not only lucrative but a gift to society. According to my point of view law degree will provide us with access to variety of legal careers, it will also give you an excellent springboard into a wide range of other professions. We will develop very strong oral and written communication skills, which are needed by all employers these days.
