National Law University, Delhi is a law university in India, offering courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The Centre for Criminology and Victimology at National Law University, Delhi has been set up with the objective of promoting research, training, policy analysis and consultancy in the field of Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, Criminology and Victimology.

About the Course

Inaugural Justice J. S. Verma Advocacy Training Course and Mock Trial is being held at NLU Delhi between 21-26 November. This programme is a unique international collaboration that will be delivered by leading Indian and U.K. lawyers. It offers an opportunity to improve advocacy skills, guided by the best. The course focusses on human rights, gender justice and vulnerable witnesses.

The course and certification offer the opportunity for students to obtain unparalleled training and stand out
from their peers in both India & UK.

The course is highly selective and exclusive – the maximum number of 25 students. No course fees but commitment to attend on all days is required. The small course size will enable participants to network with and obtain highly individualised feedback from their trainers in a supportive environment.

The course is designed to increase confidence in public speaking and all students will be supported to become the best advocates they can be.

The course will run from Thursday 21st November 2019 – Tuesday 26th November 2019.

The timings will be 10 am – 5 pm daily.

Eligibility for Course

The Course is open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th-year students enrolled bonafide on a regular basis in a 5-year BA/LLB Undergraduate Law Course.

The course is also open to all 3rd-year students enrolled bonafide on a regular basis in a 3-year Post Graduate LLB Law Course.

How to Apply

A maximum number of 25 participants will be accepted. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis. Interested persons are therefore encouraged to apply as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment.
