Who Is The Organiser?
Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) was founded by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal
(SVKM) in 1981. The institute was set-up by SVKM to cater to the growing demand for management education.
In 2003, Deemed to be University status was granted to NMIMS by the Government of India on the advice of the UGC. NMIMS’s commitment to education and institution creation, led to its expansion across cities to impart courses in several streams. Apart from Mumbai, NMIMS has sprawling campuses in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Indore, Dhule, Shirpur and Navi Mumbai. NMIMS today has over 17 schools and 16 disciplines under its umbrella.
The School of Law at the Bengaluru campus initiated its operations from 2019 and has since grown exponentially, supported by research, strong curriculum and world – class faculty. School of Law, NMIMS Bengaluru extends a warm invitation to the esteemed institution to participate in their flagship Law Fest – SOLARIS’24 scheduled to take place between 2nd to 4th February 2024 at their Bannerghatta Campus. Solaris’24 promises a dynamic blend of legal, cultural, and sporting events and competitions, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents, engage in healthy competition, and win exciting prizes. The fest aims to foster collaboration, skill development, and cultural exchange among law students from various institutions.
What Are The Details Of The Competition?
- Type of Events: The Fest will include the following formal legal events:
- Justice CK Thakker National Moot and Mediation Competition in collaboration with Argus Partners, Legallands LLP, Vidvat Legal and Anirudh Associates, Live Law and Bettering Result
- National Debate Competition
- National Policy Drafting Hackathon in association with Mani Chengappa & Mathur
- National Commercial and Business Law Conference in association with King Stubb and Kasiva.In addition to the formal events, participants can also indulge and participate in a host of cultural and sporting competitions.
- Informals – Ramp Walk, Battle of Bands, Dance Off and Street Play
- Sports – Basketball, Cricket, Football, Table Tennis, Chess, Badminton and Online Gaming.

- Eligibility:All students enrolled in undergraduate Law Programmes (3 Year/5 Year programme) shall be eligible for participation in the competition.

- Best Mooting Team: Cash Prize of Rs. 36,000/- Certificate of Merit Internship with Argus Partners Course by Bettering Results
- Runners-up Mooting Team: Cash Prize of Rs. 18,000/- Certificate of Merit Internship with Argus Partners Course by Bettering Results
- Best Mediation Team: Cash Prize of Rs. 25,000/- Certificate of Merit Course by Bettering Results
- Runners-up Mediation Team: Cash Prize of Rs. 15,000/- Certificate of Merit Course by Bettering Results
- Best Memorial: Cash Prize of Rs. 12,000/- Certificate of Merit
- Best Speaker: Cash Prize of Rs. 8,500/- Certificate of Merit
- Best Negotiating Pair: Cash Prize of Rs. 12,000/- Certificate of Merit
