Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is inviting applications from law graduates for the position of Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO), to fill up 44 vacancies for the said post.
Eligibility
The candidates must possess Law Degree from any recognized University up to the last date for receipt of
application.
Preferential: Other things being equal such candidate shall be given preference who
- Has served for a minimum period of two years in the Territorial Army or
- Has obtained “B” certificate of N.C.C.
Age Limit:
Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1982 and not later than July 1, 2001.
For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1967.

Applying Procedure
Stage 1: Registration
Registration can be done through the link given at the end of this post. Submit the form after filling in the required information carefully. After that, take a printout of the Registration Slip by clicking on Print Registration Slip.
Stage 2: Fee Deposition / Reconciliation
After the registration, the applicant will be required to make the payment of the exam fee as well as the online processing fee as per the category.
- Click on ‘Click here to proceed for payment’.
- The home page of State Bank MOPS (Multi Option Payment System) shall be displayed comprising of 03 modes of payment viz. (i) NET BANKING (ii) CARD PAYMENTS and (iii) OTHER PAYMENT MODES.
- After depositing the required fee by any one of the above-prescribed modes, “Payment Acknowledgement Receipt (PAR)” shall be displayed along with detail of fee deposition, the print of which must be taken by clicking on “Print Payment Receipt.”
Stage 3: Submit the application form
On completion of the procedure of second stage, click on ‘Proceed for final submission of application’ and fill the application form.

(A) Written Examination Marks

- General Hindi: 100 marks (Question Paper will be High School Standard)
- Criminal Law & Procedure: 100 marks (Police Act & Regulations of Law Degree Standard)
- Law of Evidence: 100 marks (Which will include direct & Applied question of Law Degree Level)
(B) Personality Test: 50 marks
The suitability of the candidates shall be assessed with reference to his capacity, Character, Personality, and Physical fitness.
The Marks obtained in the written test will be added to the obtained in Personality Test to consider the place of the candidate.
