About yourself?
I’m a first BA LLB Student of KLE LAW COLLEGE BANGALORE. My name is Sakshi Sachan.

About your college?
The College has quite an infrastructure, with supporting faculties. The college conducts and participates in a lot of events, like National and international moot court competition, paper presentations, debates, etc.

About moot court society?
Our moot court committee consists of various teacher coordinators and student representatives. The students get informed about the various competitions directly from the student representatives and through notices. They encourage more and more student participation.

How many members are there?
Since the moot court committee gets shuffled, here and there and sometimes entirely, so the exact number can’t be said.
- What is the selection process? : Screening, where we have to present our case and the facts the selection entirely depends upon the research that we do of the background of the case and constitutionality.

How many moot court events are conducted by your society till now?
There have been so many moots conducted by our college. Every 3 years the college organises a National Law Fest, wherein teams from various parts of the country participate. The college teams also participate in various moot courts , both national and international.

What are your greatest achievements in any national or international moots?
KLE shines at ‘LEX ULTIMA 16’ Law Fest. K.L.E. Society’s Law College team comprising SurabhiRanjan (IV B.B.A. LL.B.), Nisha (IV B.B.A. LL.B.) andLavanya (III B.B.A. LL.B.) won the CMR Law School National Level Moot Court Competition held on 19th and 20th of March 2016. PRINCIPAL, Staff and students congratulate the champions for their fabulous performance.

Does the college provide reimbursement for the event attended?
Forthe of bigger events, reimbursements are provided. Certificates and at times cash prizes too.

What is your strategy to promote the event at larger level?
The notices are sent to other colleges, and if it’s a part of a bigger event online and offline teams are made to publicise it.

Is there any upcoming event?
There will be a moot court competition conducted by Surana & Surana which will be conducted in the college.
