Name Of the Student:

Year of Study:
BALLB – 2nd Year (2014-19)
College Name:
LLC, Greater Noida
Internship, City:
With Mr. Arvind Kumar,( legal awareness) Muzaffarpur (Bihar)
Duration of the Internship:
20 july 2015 – 20 august 2015
Timing:
9 am – 6 pm
Main Task Work Profile:
Social analyzer. Being a resident of Bihar, which is amongst the poorest states of India, I thought it must be my duty to understand the social problems that lay in the roots causing problems in the development works. I was working under Mr. Arvind Kumar to whom I enquired about the same and also asked how I could create legal awareness among the people in order to erase some basic social problem . I was asked to do so because it is a common belief that if a society is well aware about their legal rights many problems can be avoided such as dowry, molestation etc.
Work Environment at office:
The environment was superb. I was working with 3 more people of my batch and had the same motto as me. This created a sense of co-ordination among us and I believe what we achieved in that particular month together under the superior guidance of Mr. Arvind Kumar, will help us to create a sense of legal awareness when we become a full fledge lawyer.
Stipend:
Unexpectedly, Mr. Arvind gifted us all with an amount of Rs. 1500. Happy with my first income!
First day at organization:
Average, nervousness was sure around, among all of us. But then all is well that ends well, the second day was more confident and it kept on increasing as lots of new things were learned.
Best Part of Internship:
To be precise, after just the 1st year of B.A.LL.B, I did not had any idea of Law. So it was important to grasp as much as possible. Saw the court proceedings regularly so have an idea of how, when and with what purpose the district courts function. Coming to the point the best part of this one month internship was that I got to know a lot about the legal back-logs of the society to which I belong.
Biggest Lesson:
If one wants to create awareness amongst the people of society, that too from the legal aspect, he/she must know the backgrounds and back draws of the society.
Anything else you’d like to tell:
To be honest, it is easy to sit at home and blame others. It takes guts to come out and serve the society with positive aim. I, being an lawyer, will aim not to be the one who sits at home and blames rather I will try to come out and try an bring a change.
Any Message to other Law Students:
Keep calm, study law, bring that knowledge to good use, serve the society specially the poor.
