“Internship in courts will help you a lot from the very beginning of your carrier.” Shivang Srivastava
Name Of the Student:
Shivang Srivastava
Year of Study:
B.A.LL.B 2nd Year
College Name:
LLC, Greater Noida
Organization Name, City:
District Court, Unnao
Duration of the Internship:
1 month
Timing:
10 AM to 5 PM
Main Task Work Profile:
I was required to study judgement, to find out the analytic reasoning of judge while writing the judgements and the principles depending on which the judgement had been pronounced. Some other task for me like
- Learn Drafting
- Understand Proceedings of the court
- Research Work
Work Environment at office:
I was surrounded by some good officials, they were helpful to me. But sir was very strict. He used to be in discipline and also wants his staff to be discipline.
Stipend:
No Stipend
First day at Organization:
On my very first day of internship I was too scared and nervous because it was my first day in court and some lawyers told me that sir is very strict. But my first day was good because the staff was too kind and generous towards me.
Best Part of Internship:
Best part of my internship was to learn the proceedings of court. As being a lawyer you must be familiar to the proceeding of courts.
Biggest Lesson:
Biggest lesson is that I learned from internship is the difference between bookish knowledge and practical knowledge. There is a huge difference among them. Only bookish knowledge can’t make you a successful lawyer.
Anything else you’d like to tell:
it was a great feeling when you have a personal chair in court room and you study the judgements, hear the arguments of senior lawyers, study the cases and also you do some research work on a particular case. So if you really interested in law then you are going to learn some good lessons here.
Any Message to other Law Students:
We adopted law as our carrier so we must learn the proceedings of the court, things to do or to not do in the court because one can’t learn the proceeding and rules of court through books so internship in courts will help you a lot from the very beginning of your carrier.
