Main Task Work Profile:

Assisting in preparing legal drafts, attending court proceedings with him, observing my mentor while discussing with clients, hearing arguments in the district court and therefore gaining maximum practical experience.

Work Environment at office:

Mr Rajiv is very polite and friendly towards his interns and others staff. He makes other comfortable while working with him and thus turns out to be successful in surfacing best out of others.

Stipend:

No

First day at organization:

I was very nervous and excited too to work in Bihar district court for first time. My mentor and all other member’s present in his office were very calm and friendly while approaching. First day was more formal and introductory.

Best Part of Internship:

Attending live court proceedings and hearing arguments from prosecution and defense side.

Biggest Lesson:

Law is not what we study in books rather it is what we see in Indian courts. Law books are no more than fairytales on Indian legal system while in fact situation of real courts is vice-versa.

Anything else you’d like to tell:

At least for once every law student should do an internship in Indian courts. It is the best way to explore, know and love law at its best.

Any Message to other Law Students:

To be finest in legal profession be first in doing internship at court/s.
