About Organization:
ActionAid is an N.G.O. works for the upliftment of poor section of the society under different heads such as communal harmony, child education, and participation of the poor in government, Equal distribution of the natural resources. ActionAid reaches those who are most in need of help, such as the Dalit, tribals, religious minorities and women. ActionAid directly reach out to over 5 million people in 24 States and I Union Territory through the help of 12 regional offices and over 300 grassroots NGOs.

Work Profile:
Interns were assigned with the task of corporate screening of the companies aspiring to fund ActionAid Organization. The main points to be screened were Corporate social responsibility fulfilled or not, the area of operation of the company and criminal charges against the company, any policy against the principles of the NGO, company supports human rights etc. We were assigned also the screening subsidiary of the company in order to get the complete clear picture of the company by which the ActinAid is to be funded. I was part of the team which screened companies like BMW, Bazaz allinze, Zara India, Bank of America, ICICI Bank etc.
Work Environment at office:
The office is situated in Haus khas Delhi, Near Metro station. The office is in a big building having 3 floors. Interns were supposed to sit with the assigned team to work in the conference room to carry the research work assigned to us The working environment was very good, very enthusiastic, inspiring team members, branch head and all of members of the organizations.

First day at organization:
On the first day, we were introduced with our team head Miss Salina. She introduced herself and the organization and the kind of theme organization is working upon. We were given sample work also. Overall first day at organization was quite fabulous.
Best Part of Internship:
The best part was that we did not have to wait for the work. We were timely provided with assignments which we were supposed to be completed within the prescribed time. The work done by us was thoroughly scrutinized and we were provided with the feedback. The best part of the internship is that it makes you workaholic and professional person from the beginning of your professional life..
Biggest Lesson:
The biggest lesson was to work not for money but for the society too. Human being survives on the resources of the society therefore it owns something to the society which is to be paid by human.
Anything else you’d like to tell:
The important thing I would mention here is the completion of the work on time will help you to meet with the new responsibilities and the new tasks which actually help to learn the practical aspect of the working of an NGO, the challenges faced by it and conflict resolution
