Main Task Work Profile:

Organization is working for improving the condition of people living in slum areas and to improve the condition of women. Our work was to motivate women and to sensitize them about their rights. We also got the task to work under Gender Resource Centre- Suvidha Kendra Project. They let us to visit Jantar Mantar where we got the chance to visit Nirbhaya’s parents and police station where we got knowledge of their working criteria. We also visited slum areas and talked with people about their problems. Daily we had given different tasks.

Work Environment at office:

That is very good. All the members were helpful. They taught us about various things other that our tasks. Every time we have given a coordinator who helped us to complete our task.

Stipend:

No. The organization is working for welfare of people and we joined there for the motive of getting knowledge and that was much valuable as compared to stipend.

First day at organization:

On first day, firstly they introduced us with them and then explained us their criteria of working and then let us visit to slum areas. On first day they cooperated us in such a way that we even don’t get realize that it was our first day.

Best Part of Internship:

Our visit to slum areas and understanding the difficulties of the people living there. That day we faced the reality that although India is developing but this is only limited to some areas.

Biggest Lesson:

Decision without action is of no use. If you really want to do something, must begin to take steps. Legislation is of no use without proper implementation.

Anything else you’d like to tell:

There is much for a lawyer to learn and internship helps us to get practical knowledge so we must do internship.

Any Message to other Law Students:

Being a law student, we should not only confine our knowledge to books, we should also be aware of actual world because there is large difference between what is being told and what is being happening.

From LawOF:
