- The Government of NCT of Delhi is appointing legal interns for its upcoming project – School Health Clinic under the leadership of Hon’ble Health Minister Shri Satyendra Jain.
- The main of this project is to provide primary healthcare services to the students of Delhi Government Schools. The services would focus on the physical and mental health of the students, with a doctor and a psychologist placed in each school.
Further Details
The intern engagement would be for a period of a minimum of 45 days (extendable up to 3 months) starting from the first week of January 2022.
They will be required to do in-depth research make notes on various areas of law revolving around children and mental health to help the team tackle legal challenges faced during the project including the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, The Protection Of Children From Sexual Offences Act, 2012, Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, Mental Health Act, etc.
Eligibility Criteria
- 2nd/3rd/4th/5th-year students pursuing the 5 years integrated law programme of BA LLB or 2nd/3rd-year students pursuing the 3 year LLB programme.
- Interns are expected to have good communication skills and research doing abilities.
Certificate Provision
- The interns will be provided with a Certificate of Internship for completing the internship from the Government of NCT of Delhi.
- It is an excellent opportunity for students to gain exposure to working with the government and work on a policy implementation programme.
