ORGANIZATION:
“Childline India Foundation is a non-governmental organization”
The time I spent in Childline , as an intern from June to July in the year 2016 was a memorable one for me and it was rich in experience sharing and has helped me discover my potential, which will forever shape and influence my professional life while fostering personal growth and development.
In this report I hope to highlight the enormous opportunities offered by Child Helpline to young people. During my 1 month internship. I had the opportunity to work for the organization in very active departments of influencing the common man, reach-outs and preparing the statistical data, which was a period of knowledge acquisition and experience .
WHAT DID I GAIN:
#Personal Productivity Skills:
The tenure of 30 days permitted me to know how to become efficient at public speaking and enable me to explain the positive attitude and behavior that should be followed in the workplace. It also allowed me to assess my own effectiveness, and identify what skills needed improvement.
#Engagement And Policy Research:
The internship helped me to know the art of presenting the data and viewpoints in a more effective way.
#English Language Training:
#Leadership Development
#Project Management
My experience has been vivid and broad, starting from outreach to personal involvement in extremely sensitive cases, involving Police help at the spur of the moment. It has lead me to a better understanding of minds with the sessions spent during the questionnaires which were to be filled by the victims .

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is extremely suitable for interns since the officials at the place are totally grounded and open to share their experience, the overwhelming emotion to help the children in need is depicted and the same is dealt with patience and a lot of sensitivity. The timing were generally from 11 am to 5 pm which enabled me to take ample amount of sleep since that’s most important in the holiday sessions also considering that there is ample time to accomplish the other works that the organization gave me like going on awareness reachouts and dealing directly with children in shelter homes.
CURRENT ACTIVITIES:
Childline India Foundation is a non-governmental organization that operates a telephone helpline called-Childline,for children in distress. It is the first 24 hour toll free phone outreach service for children. It provides for education at primary level inclusive of shelter and food, taking money from the offenders who exploit the children for earning money, also punishable under law.
RECOMMENDATION:
Child helpline has an object of creating a civil society in which humans are balanced with the view that children are a boon for the future and hence should not be taken advantage off, also providing enough awareness schemes that makes the whole internship experience like a family concern, in order to make a connectivity with the sensitive mins.
I strongly advice law aspirants to at least be an intern here and reach out their fullest potential, since a great person rightly said”. A man without emotions is no man”so let us be the pure homo sapience and make the society a better one.
