About the Moot

The Moot Court Society of Delhi Metropolitan Education has successfully organized 3 National Moot Court Competitions in the previous years. In continuance with our tradition, but with a unique twist, we are elated to announce our 1st Innovative International Moot Court Competition which is scheduled to be held on 20-22 March 2020 at Delhi Metropolitan Education, Noida.

Sitting Judges, Practicing Advocates, Academicians and Experts in the field of law shall be invited to adjudicate the competition.

Theme: The theme of the moot will be Environmental Law.

Eligibility

All the students enrolled in Three or Five-year LL.B and LL.M Courses from any Law College/Institution/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.

Team Composition

A team of 3 members (2 Speakers and 1 Researcher) of Law Students will be amalgamated with a team of 2 Non-Law students making a 5-member team. The Non-Law team will be allotted subsequently after the registration. For more details refer to the brochure attached.

Delhi Metropolitan Education, B-12, B Block Industrial Area, Noida Sector- 62, U.P. – 201301.

Registration

Each team can register provisionally by mailing to mootcourt@dme.ac.in with the subject as “Registration: DME IIMC 2020”.

Registration is strictly on a first come first serve basis. The last date for registration is 11th March 2020 by 11:59 PM.

To complete the process of registration, all participating teams are required to submit the completed registration form, duly signed and stamped by the Head of Institution/Principal/ Head of Department along with the Demand Draft (DD) or Transaction Receipt.

Fee Details

The participating teams of law students are required to pay INR 5,500/- (with accommodation) or INR 4500/- (Without Accommodation) as registration fees.

Note

The Registration will be confirmed after the payment of Registration Fees. The Registration amount is Non-Refundable.

Important Dates

• Last date for Online Registration: 11th March 2020
• Last date for Hard Copy of the Registration Form along with DD or Transaction Receipt: 16th March 2020
• Last date for sending the soft copies of the Memorials through E-Mail: 15th March 2020
• The date for acceptance of Hard Copies of the Memorials: 20th March 2020 (to be submitted during the desk registration).
• Researcher’s Test: 20th March 2020
• Prelims and Quarterfinals: 21st March 2020
• Semi-Finals, Final and Valedictory: 22nd March 2020

• Runner up Team (SECOND PRIZE): ₹ 40,000/-
• Best Policy: ₹ 20,000
• Best Activist/ State Representative: ₹ 10,000
• Best Speaker: ₹ 10,000/-
• Best Memorial: Rs 5,000/-
• Best Researcher: Rs 5,000/-
