About 

LPU has a mammoth ultra-modern high- tech campus sprawling over more than 600 acres on the National Highway at the entry of Jalandhar city. It is the largest single-campus university in India, with more than 30,000 students from across the world, 3500 faculty and staff, offering more than 200 programmes. The university is recognised by University Grant Commission (UGC) and is member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

The School of Law, LPU under the auspices of Lovely Professional University is pleased to announce an international conference on “Expanding Frontiers of Air, Space And Maritime Law: Legal Issues And Challenges” on 2nd May 2020.

Publication

The selected papers shall be published in SCOPUS INDEXEXD JOURNALS/SCOPUS INDEXED ISBN numbered book after peer review, subject to acceptance by the Journal/ Publishers.

NOTE: The abstract should not be more than 400 words and the full-length paper shall not be more than 5000 words, including footnotes.

Participants

All national and international institutions are invited to submit their papers. In addition, the following stakeholders are also invited:

• Academicians from various reputed Universities across the globe.
• Research scholars and students pursuing law from various universities.
• Lawyers from the host country and other countries.

Kindly note: Only the author/co-author of the paper are eligible to present the paper at the conference.

Fee Structure

Participation fee (to be submitted by the last date of registration)

• Practitioners/non-academicians: Rs. 2000/-
• Faculty: Rs. 1500/-
• Students: Rs. 750/-
• International Participants: 50 US$

On the Spot Registration

• Practitioners/non-academicians: Rs. 3000/-
• Faculty: Rs. 2500/-
• Students: Rs. 1500/-
• International Participants: 75 US$

NOTE- Fee for Co-Authors will be same as of author. The authors are requested to attached the transaction receipt while submitting their research paper.

The participation fee includes charges for conference kit, lunch and tea. It does not include accommodation. The participants can avail accommodation (subject to availability) in LPU for one day by paying additional charges.

Structure of the paper

Papers may be submitted under the following categories:

• The word limit is between 2500 to 5000 words. The word limit is inclusive of footnotes but exclusive of abstract.
• ILI format of citation should be used for footnotes.
• The paper should be accompanied by an abstract which should mention the novelty of the idea that the author wishes to put forth and the broad outcome of the research paper.

Important dates

• Last date of Abstract Submission: 15th March 2020.
• Intimation of Abstract Submission: 20th March 2020.
• Last date of Full-Length Paper Submission: 5th April 2020.
• Intimation of paper acceptance: 10th April 2020.
• Conference date: 2nd May 2020.

Kindly note the following carefully for any submission

• All the pages of the Final Paper should have a margin of 1 inch on all sides;
• Main Title of the Paper: Font – Times New Roman; Size – 14; Line Spacing – 1.5; Alignment – Centre; Uppercase; Boldface;
• Body: Font – Times New Roman; Size – 12; Line Spacing – 1.5; Alignment – Justified; the citations must be typewritten in the font: Times New Roman, Font Size: 10, Line Spacing – Single. Submissions must conform to a uniform method of citation.
• Co-authorship of a maximum of one author per paper is allowed.
• Authors are requested to stick to the word limit.
• The papers must be original work of the author(s).
• Authors are requested to kindly e-mail the abstract/paper at solconference2020@yahoo.com.

Note: Participants can also present their papers in absentia by submitting a pre-recorded video of 5 to 7 minutes on the ID: solconference2020@yahoo.com, or on the Convener’s WhatsApp number (9915001136).

Certificates to in absentia participants shall be forwarded by speed post.
