The Centre for Civil Society in collaboration with Symbiosis Law School Pune is pleased to announce the participation to be open for the Law and Liberty Conference, 19th and 20th August 2019.

The Centre for Civil Society (CCS) which has been ranked amongst the top 60 think tanks in the world (and amongst the top 3 from India) by the University of Pennsylvania’s highly acclaimed annual Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) report, for the past 5 years, advances social change through intervention and awareness in public policy.

The Law and Liberty Conference (LLC) is the flagship academic congregation of CCS which aims to explore the nexus of legal thought and practice, through the core ideas of liberty. A key component of modern social and political order, liberty is seen as one of the founding principles of rule of law, accountability, transparency, and development. The spheres of liberty are manifold, with implications ranging from economic, civil, and personal practices of individuals, governments, and social communities.
Symbiosis Law School, Pune, (SLS Pune) in 2019 has been ranked 7th by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Ministry of Human Resource Development India among the Law Institutes all over the Country. For the past several years, SLS Pune has been securing positions in the top 10 of many rankings.  It has been ranked 3rd by India Today in May 2019. It has also been ranked as the 3rd best college in the category of Top leading law schools of super excellence in GHRDC rankings 2018.
