The Competition Law e-Newsletter is published by the Centre for Competition Law and Policy to engage the legal community in thought-provoking debates on a variety of topics related to competition law. The e-Newsletter, which is the first of its type in India in the field of competition law, intends to spread information about current developments in the sector.

The theoretical and practical essays will be included in the article section. Case summaries from the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the Supreme Court, and antitrust cases from the European Commission and American courts would also be included in the Newsletter.

Papers are being solicited.

  • Academicians, professionals, and law students are invited to submit original and unpublished manuscripts to the NUALS Competition Law e-Editorial Newsletter’s Board for the 4th Volume.
  • The Editorial Board will thoroughly analyse all contributions before publishing the ones that are chosen in the e-Newsletter.

Submission Requirements

  • Submissions are divided into several categories.
  • 1500 words for short articles
  • Articles with a word count of 2000 to 3000 words are considered long.
  • Comments on the case: 700 words
  • The word limit excludes footnotes and is variable at the Editorial Board’s discretion.

General Instructions

  • All submissions should be sent to cclpnewsletter@nuals.ac.in with the title “Submission: The Competition Law e-Newsletter” in the subject line.
  • The author’s full name, semester and course (if a student), university/organization/freelancer (specify), and contact number must all be included in the body of the email.
  • The deadline for submissions is December 30, 2021.
  • Original works must be submitted, and they must not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • All contributions are checked for plagiarism, and if the work is determined to be unoriginal, it will be rejected. (A maximum of 10% plagiarism is permitted.) The Editorial Board maintains the right to reject any work that is determined to be unoriginal or does not fit the editorial board’s standards during the review process.
  • A maximum of two people can co-author a paper.
  • Along with their submissions, authors should include a ‘Declaration of Originality.’

Formatting Instructions

  • All documents must be sent in.doc/.docx/.odt format. Submissions in PDF format are not accepted.
  • The following guidelines must be followed in the body of the manuscript:

  • The Bluebook (20th edition) style of citation must be used in all submissions. Footnotes must be written in Times New Roman, size 10, with single line spacing.
