Law and Other Things (LAOT), founded in 2005, is India’s first online platform devoted to discussions and ideas in constitutionalism, legal history, and public policy. The blog, which bills itself as “A blog about India’s legal system, its Courts, and its Constitution,” aims to offer interesting and intelligent essays on broad public law issues. The blog has been mentioned in various law review papers, legal books, and most recently by a Supreme Court Constitution Bench.
LAOT produces analytical or explanatory papers in public law, with a focus on mentoring law students throughout the editorial process. Our eminent Senior Editorial Board, which includes Anup Surendranath, Aparna Chandra, Arun Thiruvengadam, Chinmayi Arun, Malavika Prasad, Mohsin Alam Bhat, Nick Robinson, Raeesa Vakil, Venkat Venkatesan, and Vikram Raghavan, reviews all selected articles. The LAOT Blog provides everyone with the opportunity to obtain comments on their writing from some of the most illustrious figures in public law. Posts from law students, academics, and practitioners are all welcome.
