The Contemporary Law Forum is a student-run, professionally supported blog established with the primary objective of promoting and publishing quality legal research on contemporary issues of law. TCLF further aims to act as a medium of discussion between multiple stakeholders of the legal industry through legal research and writing. With a guaranteed outreach across the diverse spectrum of the industry, this forum is an ideal place for the writing community to publish their thoughts on legal issues of contemporary relevance.
In addition to the blog, TCLF also runs an interview series titled “TCLF One-on-One” with the fundamental objective of interacting with the best legal professionals from India and abroad. TCLF has hosted some prominent senior advocates, partners, counsels, researchers etc. in the past.
Submission Guidelines
TCLF is a forum for the exchange of ideas and we are open to submissions from all areas of law, as long as they have some contemporary relevance.
Eligibility
TCLF invites submissions on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year from members of the bar, legal professionals, law students, or others who are interested in publishing with us.
Submission Guidelines
- Articles should contain content that is both original and unpublished.
- Co-authorship is allowed up to 2 authors.
- Authors should preferably use hyperlinks within the text itself for citing the resources instead of footnotes.
- If hyperlinking the resources is not possible, authors may use Oxford Standard OSCOLA (4th edition) or any uniform citation style to cite authorities as endnotes.
- Authors should restrict their submissions between 1500- 1800 words.
- Submissions should be made in Microsoft Word format.
- Language used should be British English.
- Authors must adhere to the following formatting style; Font style: Times New Roman, Font size: 12 and Line spacing: 1.5.
- The articles would be evaluated on the following broad parameters: novelty/originality of the idea, articulation, structure, relevancy and authors’ insight.
- The review process usually takes a week’s time.

Authors interested in submitting a piece are requested to mail their submissions at: submissions.tclf@gmail.com with the subject line ‘Submission_TCLF’.
The body of the email must contain a short bio of the author(s) and the name of the institution that they are affiliated to.
