About the Organisation

National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam is an autonomous law school in India located in Guwahati, Assam, India. It was established in 2009 through an Act passed by the State Legislature of Assam as a public university dedicated to the field of legal education.

About the Journal

JSLPG (Journal of Sports Law, Policy and Governance) is producing one volume each year, divided into two issues. Student Editors work closely with the main Editorial Board of the JSLPG to edit and produce the journal. Typically this will involve proofreading articles, checking footnotes, and verifying all sources cited by the authors.

Student Editors gain valuable experience in high-level academic writing in law and develop excellent analytical and legal skills. They also get the opportunity to work with the Executive Board members and other law students in the production of an academic publication.

The role is totally voluntary. Each Student Editor receives a free soft copy of each issue they work on and full online access to all issues ever published (upon request). Student Editors are also acknowledged within the publication.

Registration Details

Application Process

Applications for 2019 close at 11:59 PM on 30th August 2019. Please don’t be a procrastinator for this application process, spare that for your examinations.

If JSLPG gets suitable applicants for all the positions, the call for applications can be closed before the above mentioned last date. Hence individuals are requested to apply as soon as possible.

Your application should consist of:-

1. A CV (Not More than Two Pages)
2. Cover Letter (about 500 words)
3. Write-Up (Blog Style) (about 1000 words) (Detailed research papers are not accepted)

All applications must only be emailed to nesfil@nluassam.ac.in as per the stipulated deadline. The Subject of the emailed application must contain the wording “Application for” followed by the specific Position one is applying to which further must be followed by the name of the institute in which the student is currently studying. Applications must be accompanied by the above-mentioned documents.

Please remember to read about the various positions under the Student Editorial Board in the ‘Call for Applications’ attached below and only apply to a particular position after reading the eligibility and responsibilities.
