ABOUT

Army Institute of Law, Mohali, will be hosting a One Day National Seminar on
“Challenges to Human Security in 21st Century”.

DATE & TIME OF THE SEMINAR

September 16, 2017, Saturday (9am – 4:30 pm)

OBJECTIVE

Human security – broadly defined by the United Nations as “the right of people
to live in freedom and dignity, free from poverty and despair”

The main objective behind organizing this seminar is to provide a new way of
thinking about the range of 21st century challenges in regard to human security
and how to respond to them. The Seminar intends to focus on the challenges,
strategies and reforms in providing people-centred approach as it is vital for
ensuring sustainable development for all.

We at AIL, Mohali, are striving to provide a forum to speakers to come up with
innovative and practical models, discuss challenges, latest developments and
reformative solutions that can contribute further in the area of research. We look
forward to your ideas how the underlying principles of human security can be
applied to the 21st century developmental agendas.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Papers are invited from the academicians, practitioners, researchers, scholars
and students on the issues related to the above said themes.
Only one co-author shall be allowed.

The Institute also looks forward to publish the papers selected by the Committee
in the form of an edited book with ISBN Number. Email shall be send to
selected papers for complete uniform formatting and any update if any.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

• Abstract and Full Paper
An abstract of 250 – 300 words accompanied by details of the author containing
his/her email ID, contact number and postal address should be sent.
The Paper should not be of more than 5000 words.
Mention of the sub-theme is mandatory.
Only one co-author shall be allowed.
It must be typed in Times New Roman Font Size 12 on A4 size paper with 1.5”
margin on all sides with 1.5 line spacing using MS Word. A uniform system of
citation must be strictly adhered to while submitting the abstracts and full paper.

All the abstracts and full length papers shall be sent to:

REGISTRATION FEE

Students/ Research Scholars – Rs. 1000/-
Academicians/ Practitioners – Rs. 1,500/-
Only one co-author shall be allowed
In case of co-authored papers, each author will have to pay the registration fee
amount individually/independently.
Registration fees must be sent via demand draft in the name of Army Institute of
Law payable at SAS Nagar Mohali/Chandigarh.

IMPORTANT DATES

Last date of submission of abstract: August 25, 2017
Date of intimation in of acceptance of abstract on or before: August 28 , 2017
Last date for submission of full paper along with registration form and fee:
September 2, 2017
