India’s maritime sector contributes over 90% of its international trade volume, presenting lucrative career prospects. Understanding commercial maritime law, which governs shipping, trade, and environmental regulations, equips students to address legal complexities in this vital industry, fostering economic growth and sustainability. The certificate course is intended to give learners an overview of the aspects of maritime law with special emphasis on Shipping Law, Regulations and Responsible Practices.  By doing this course, learners will be able to better appreciate the practices of maritime law in particular and overall developments in the field of maritime and shipping industry policy. This will enable the learner to broaden their horizons in legal practice by adding knowledge of niche areas of law that seldom find sufficient space in traditional legal curricula.
