Who Is The Organizer?

Himgiri Zee University has been established to meet the growing demand for trained human resources in various social, educational, scientific, technical and professional organizations so as to channel human energy towards sustainable economic and social development. In order to make a positive difference to education and employment, Shri Subhash Chandra, Chairman, Essel Group of Industries and Zee Telefilms had brought together in 1995 a group of committed anthropologists, sociologists, economists and development communications professionals to set up TALEEM Research Foundation in Ahmedabad. One of the mandates of Taleem Research Foundation was to set up the Himgiri Zee University.

The School of Legal Studies at Himgiri Zee University stands as a beacon of legal education, fostering a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment. With a commitment to excellence, this institution is proud to host the National Moot Court Competition, providing a platform for aspiring legal minds to showcase their advocacy skills. Founded on the principles of academic rigor and practical exposure, the School of Legal Studies offers a comprehensive curriculum that blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. The faculty, composed of seasoned legal experts and scholars, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of legal professionals.

What Are The Details Of The Competition?

• Date of the event:19th-21st April 2024
• Mode: The competition will be conducted in offline mode by the Moot Court Society, School of Legal Studies.
• Venue: Himgiri Zee University, Dehradun Campus
• Eligibility:
  • All law colleges/institutions/universities across the country recognized by the Bar Council of India are eligible to take part in the Competition.
  • All participants must be currently pursuing their Bachelor’s degree in Law, i.e., either 3-year or 5-year courses.
  • Only one team per college/institution/ university will be allowed to participate.
• Team Composition: Each participating team shall comprise three (3) members, where two (2) members shall be designated as speakers and one (1) member shall be designated as the researcher. No change in the composition of the team shall be entertained after the completion of registration.
• Registration Process: Registration shall be successful upon completion of all formalities mentioned in the registration form. The last day for Online Registration is 20th March 2024. Request for Refund of Registration Fee shall not be entertained. Registration will be confirmed only after the payment of the requisite fees.
• Registration fees: Registration Fees: INR 3500 (Free Accommodation for outstation participants at the University Hostel)
