National PIL Drafting competition is an event or contest that encourages participants, typically law students or legal professionals, to create legal documents known as PILs. PILs are a crucial tool for promoting social justice and protecting the rights of citizens. Drafting a PIL requires a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, a deep knowledge of the subject matter, and strong drafting skills. The purpose of this competition is to explore different approaches to PIL drafting and to identify best practices that can help lawyers and activists enhance their skills. Public Interest Litigation is a specific type of legal action that addresses issues of public concern or interest. These competitions are designed to promote legal advocacy for the betterment of society by allowing participants to draft PILs on important social, environmental, or human rights issues.
