Who Is The Organizer?

The Himachal Pradesh National Law University (HPNLU, Shimla), was established by the State Government in the year 2016, by an Act of the Legislature (Act 16 of 2016).  Located in the geographical terrains of Himalayas, HPNLU, Shimla, is the best place for study and learning in law, developing in students, understanding about law and legal system, topographies of law making, legal practice, and administration. The institution has attracted excellent set of teachers from all over India. The University is committed to provide inter disciplinary and practical/application based legal education keeping in view the requirements of overall developments of its students.

With the aim of conducting regular quizzes, Enigma was born under the vision of the Honourable Vice Chancellor, HPNLU, Prof. (Dr.) Nishtha Jaswal of the Himachal Pradesh National Law University. It aims to leave its footprints in the sands of this University’s vibrant culture and foster an educative and exciting environment over the years. The latest addition in the feathers of HPNLU’s cap, Enigma has been constituted in 2023 with the ambition to create a healthy competitive environment and encourage quiz enthusiasts in the field of legal awareness, jurisprudence, law, and social sciences among other academic pursuits.

Himachal Pradesh National Law University is organizing QuizLex, HPNLU’s First Intra-University Quiz Competition on the Constitution of India, aiming to promote constitutional awareness and academic excellence. This event offers a dynamic platform to delve into constitutional intricacies and nurture academic brilliance. Open to diverse educational backgrounds, it encourages healthy competition and intellectual discourse. The event seeks to ignite legal brilliance and foster a vibrant learning community.

What Are The Details Of The Opportunity?

  • Theme: The Constitution Of India
  • Date of Event:15th September 2023, 10:00-17:00 hrs
  • Venue: The Event shall be held at Himachal Pradesh National Law University Shimla, 16 Miles, Shimla-Mandi National Highway Ghandal, District Shimla, HP-171014
  • Last date of Registration: 5th September 2023 (11:59 PM)
  • Eligibility: Budding lawyers and law scholars are invited to embark on a captivating academic journey. The competition emphasizes teamwork for participants of the 5-year UG Law Course and 1-year LLM program.
  • Registration process:
    • Registration Form: CLICK HERE to fill out the form
    • The event shall be a team event, with each team consisting of 3 members. Cross-year teams are allowed to participate hence teams can consist of students from different years.
    • Only one participant from a team must register the entire team from the Google form provided. Any other method of registration shall not be entertained, including but not limited to emails.
    • Once registered, the team compositions cannot be altered.
    • One student can only register to participate in the event in one team only. Double registrations will cause for only the first registration to be considered.
    • To maintain anonymity among the teams, the team shall choose a two-word name for themselves. Be creative with it. The name chosen shall be unique for each team. For example, “Legal Eagles” or “Sue Salads.
    • The name chosen should be “valid” and allowed for the competition. Any name that is disrespectful, vulgar, racist, sexist, derogatory, homophobic, or against the common principle of human respect shall be declared “Invalid” as per the discretion of the Committee Members. “Invalid” names shall be replaced with a name chosen by the organising committee.
    • Teams wishing to back out after or during the registration period may do so latest by September 8, 2023 via email on quizcommittee@hpnlu.ac.in citing the complete team details. Backing out from the event after this date shall lead to blacklisting from participation in future quizzes for the duration of one academic year.
  • Last date of withdrawal: September 8, 2023 (23:59 hrs)
  • Awards:
    • The winning team and first-runner up shall be given a trophy and a certificate of merit.
    • The Semi-finalists shall be given a certificate of merit.
    • All other participants shall be given a virtual certificate of participation.
