The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Strategy and Advancement (CISA) is a distinguished institution dedicated to conducting interdisciplinary research on contemporary issues surrounding intellectual property rights. Through collaboration with esteemed partners such as the Centre for Human Rights Law and Policy and the Hume Institute for Postgraduate Studies, CISA offers valuable insights and expertise to governmental and non-governmental organizations in shaping IPR development at both national and global levels. Our mission is to comprehensively comprehend the intricate nature, dynamics, and diverse domains of contemporary IPR issues, with a policy-driven approach. We actively engage with legislators and governments to advocate for the establishment of effective laws and policies to protect intellectual property rights.

The Centre for Human Rights Law and Policy (CHRLP) shares our commitment to interdisciplinary research and actively contributes to eradicating human rights violations. By contextualizing violence and discrimination as human rights violations and exploring diverse occurrences, laws, policies, and procedures, the centre works towards a comprehensive understanding of human rights dynamics. With a keen focus on both theoretical and empirical dimensions, CHRLP strives to generate valuable policy implications, advocating for appropriate legislation and policies to safeguard human rights.

  • Themes: The conference welcomes abstracts on various themes, including but not limited to:
    • The judicial role in addressing climate change
    • International rights framework post Covid-19
    • Technology, AI, and human rights
    • Health and rights intersection
    • Domestic abuse during Covid-19
  • Date of the event: 1st December 2023
  • Objectives: The international conference provides a platform for interdisciplinary discussions on legal transformation in the post-pandemic global context, welcoming academics, scholars, professionals, and NGOs

  • Registration Fees:
    • Academics and Practitioners:
      • Single Authorship: Rs.1500/- (approximately 15 GBP)
      • Co-Authorship: Rs.2000/- (approximately 20 GBP)
    • Students/Research Scholars:
      • Single Authorship: Rs.1000/- (approximately 10 GBP)
      • Co-Authorship: Rs.1500/- (approximately 15 GBP)
  • Co-Authorship Guidelines: Co-authorship is permissible for a maximum of two authors per submission. Importantly, at least one of the authors must participate in the conference to present the paper, ensuring the depth and breadth of research representation.
  • Abstract Submission Guidelines:
    • Abstracts should not exceed 250 words.
    • Include a brief biography highlighting relevant expertise and affiliations.
    • Co-authorship is allowed for a maximum of two authors.
    • At least one author must present at the conference.
    • Abstracts should be submitted no later than the 1st October 2023.
  • Review Process:
    • Abstracts will be reviewed by experts in the field.
    • Factors include originality, clarity, alignment with themes, and contribution to the field.
  • Decision Notification:
    • Authors will be promptly notified of acceptance on the 15th October 2023.
  • Conference Participation:
    • Successful submissions are invited to present.
    • Participation requires completing the registration process.
