Nari Gursahani Law College, named after the legendary Supreme Court advocate and humanist, is popularly known as NGLC. Established in 2004, the College has been imparting quality legal education to the students in Ulhasnagar and its vicinity. The College is affiliated to University of Mumbai; approved by the Bar Council of India and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. Aesthetically designed, the College has modern and well-equipped class-rooms, moot court hall, a well endowed library, gymkhana, campus canteen and playground, which makes learning a joyful process.
The strength of NGLC lies in its dedicated and committed teaching and non-teaching faculty, which maintains a homely atmosphere, coupled with necessary discipline. The motto of the College is ‘Legal Education – A Social Commitment.’ The vision of the College is to create a Center of Excellence aiming at value based and holistic development of students equipped for global challenges of the millennium. And the mission of the College is to provide legal knowledge through theory and practice and to make the study of law socially relevant and fruitful.
What Are The Details Of The Competition?
- Date of the event: 9th-10th September 2024
- Eligibility:
- Only under-graduate students (LLB 3 years/ 5 years) are eligible to participate in the competition.
- Only one team from University/College/Law School is allowed to participate in the competition.
- Venue: CHM Campus, Smt. Chandibai Himathmal Mansukhani Road, Opp Railway Station (W), Ulhasnagar, Maharashtra – 42100
- Team Composition: A team shall comprise three students (two of them shall be designated as Speakers and one Researcher.
- Awards/ Prizes:
- Winner of the Final Round will be awarded the trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 6000/-
- Runners-up of the Final Round will be awarded the trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 3000/-
- Team with the highest memorial score will be awarded the ‘Best researcher’ and a cash prize of Rs. 1500/-
- ‘Best Mooter’ will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1500/-
- All other participants will receive a Certificate of participation.
- Last date to register: 17th August 2023
- Submission of Memorials (soft copy): 25th August 2023
