- ILO Internship Programme provides an opportunity for talented individuals to increase their understanding of relevant issues at the international level by involving them directly in the work of the Office and the application of ILO principles, programmes and strategies; gain practical experience with the ILO directly related to their field of study.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Intern
- Assist the Labour Market Researcher Coordinator in labour market and labour policy research
- Collect information for the Labour Market Research Coordinator
- Analyze data by applying basic statistical software, e.g. Excel, SPSS, etc.
- Assist the Senior Communication Management Assistant in managing social media accounts on a regular basis
- Produce infographic and multimedia products with software for communication purposes
- Assist in setting up and recording (video) interviews/speeches when necessary
- Conduct a daily scan of major news on new development and policy announcements in the labour and social policy areas, select news of sufficient value, and distribute them to concerned colleagues on a regular basis
- Categorize digital materials and upload them to ILO’s digital inventory
- Translate materials from English to Chinese and vice versa
- Support to ILO activities and campaigns in China
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must be enrolled in the final year of a graduate degree programme or in a higher degree programme in a related field, such as social science, law, economics, and communication.
Stipend
Monthly stipend (around CNY 8,700)
