NOTICE INVITING APPLICATIONS FOR EMPANELMENT OF ADVOCATES
The Central Pollution Control Board, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change intends to engage practicing Advocates on the panel of the Central Pollution Control Board to represent the CPCB before the Supreme Court of India, Delhi High Court & Other Benches, National Green Tribunal, Delhi & Other Benches, District Courts and Central Administrative Tribunal, Delhi & Other Benches.
The practicing Advocates who are registered with the Bar Council of India/State Bar Council are eligible for empanelment. The experience and other terms & conditions for empanelment and Application format in which the Application has to be made, has been prescribed.
However, the eligibility of existing Advocates on penal of CPCB will be reviewed accordingly.
The eligible practicing Advocates may send their Application in the format prescribed and annexed herewith this Circular along with all supporting documents scanned copies and email to the Member Secretary, CPCB (adaba.cpcb@nic.in).
The Hardcopy of the Application shall also be forwarded to the Member Secretary, Central Pollution Control Board, Parivesh Bhawan, East Arjun Nagar, Delhi – 110032 within the prescribed date and time.
The last date of receiving duly filled Application in the prescribed format along with supporting documents is 15-11-2016.
CRITERIA FOR EMPANELMENT
Supreme Court of India
(i) Minimum 08 years practicing experience exclusively dealing with the cases in Supreme Court independently;
(ii) Must be an Advocate on Record (AoR)
(iii) Preference will be given to those Advocates on record, who have been conducting cases on Environmental Laws in the Supreme Court of India in addition to the High Court of Delhi, National Green Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi. (Advocate with Science Background is preferred).
HIGH COURTS & NATIONAL GREEN TRIBUNAL
(i) Minimum 06 years practicing experience exclusively dealing with the cases in High Courts and National Green Tribunal independently.
(ii) Preference will be given to those Advocates who have been conducting cases on Environmental Laws in the High Courts, National Green Tribunal either in Principal Bench or in Circuit Benches. (Advocate with Science Background is preferred).
District Courts and Central Administrative Tribunal
(i) Minimum 04 years practicing experience exclusively dealing with the cases in District Courts and Central Administrative Tribunal independently.
(ii) Preference will be given to those Advocates who have been conducting cases on Environmental Laws, Criminal and Civil matters in the District Courts. Service matters either in Central Administrative Tribunal, Principal Bench or in other Benches of CAT.
The tenure of empanelment and professional fee will be as per the terms and conditions issued from time to time by CPCB.
