16th ALL INDIA MOOT (SECOND VIRTUAL) COURT COMPETITION for law students 2022 by Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram

Government Law College Thiruvananthapuram stands proud in the brilliance of a thousand legal suns, risen from its stellar existence of over a hundred and forty five years. The institution which was the brain-child of the Maharaja of Travancore, was conceived on 31 st January, 1875, and has successfully carved out a golden niche in the legal fraternity of this country.

DATE

  • The prestigious 16th All India Moot Court Competition, hosted by the Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram will be held from 10th to 12th March 2022 via virtual mode.
  • The competition is conducted through the online platforms ZOOM or GOOGLE MEET.
  • All the participating teams should have good access to the internet and be able to access the above said online platform at the scheduled dates and time. This is a mandatory requirement for participation.


2. Team Composition:
a. The Competition is open to all Law Colleges / Law Schools and Faculties / Universities, Departments of Law in India (hereafter “participating institutions”) recognised by the Bar Council of India. The participation is limited to LL.B/ B.L students both in the Three year Scheme and Five Year Scheme. Students doing post-graduation in law and students undergoing correspondence courses are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
b. Only one team from each participating institution shall be registered for the competition. Each team shall comprise three members (two speakers and one researcher).

REGISTRATION PROCESS

The team intending to participate must register on or before 22nd February 2022 (22-02-2022) by submitting the duly filled Performa provided in the form  and making online payment of Rs 2000/- as registration fee through the details

The winner will be awarded certificates and a cash prize and the Runners-up will be awarded certificates and a cash prize. Other prize holders will be awarded certificates.
All the participants will be awarded E-certificates of participation.

  • Registration – on or before 22nd February 2022 (22.02.2022) (Tuesday) Inaugural Function – 5.00 pm, 10.03.2022 (Thursday)
  • Briefing Session and Pick of Lots – 7.00 pm, 10.03.2022 (Thursday)
  • Preliminary Round – 8.30 am, 11.03.2022 (Friday)
  •  Quarter Final Rounds – 3:00 pm, 11-03-2022 (Friday) 
  • Semi-final Round- 10.00 am, 12.03.2022 (Saturday) Final Round – 2.30 pm, 12.03.2022 (Saturday)
  • Valedictory Function & Prize Distribution – 5.00 pm, 12.03.2022 (Saturday)
